A portrait view of the 2nd day of the August 2014 supermoon as it is rising over the city lights of Boulder County, Colorado. View looking east from highway 36 north of Boulder on the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. 8-11-14 – 8:33 pm Lightning bolts in the shape of an arch creating a dome over the city lights. This is one of my all time favorite images, hope you like it as much as I do. It is amazing what a lightning bolt can do and far far it will go. An early morning view of Longmont Colorado City lights looking east before the sunrise with a bright view of Planet Venus in the sky. The sky’s brightest planet is very prominent in the eastern predawn and dawn sky throughout April. The morning magic hour, this is a large 9 image wide panorama scenic at a colorful dawn of the City of Boulder Colorado and beyond. Boulder is at an elevation of 5,400 feet above sea-level, the city is located 30 miles northwest of the Colorado state capital of Denver. |
