Short time lapse of a scenic view from McCall Lake In Boulder County Colorado, gazing at the Rocky Mountain Twin Peaks, Mt meeker 13,911 ft and Longs Peak 14,256 ft. Colorado high country dirt road the back way to Central City, Colorado. There is Gold in these hills, gold mines every where. Such a cool drive, views and place. Longs Peak after an autumn snow dusting. It started to rain then snow later in the day. AM October 1st, 2014. Though it fit the scene and title. Aspen trees splendor in the colorful Colorado autumn season. Aspens trees typically grow in large clonal colonies, derived from a single seedling. Each individual tree can live for 40-150 years above ground, but the root system of the colony is long-lived. In some cases, this is for thousands of years, sending up new trunks as the older trunks die off above ground.
