Many lightning bolts striking on the horizon with a communication tower in South Boulder County, Colorado. This is 13 images stacked equal to about a five and half minute exposure . Two Giant lightning bolt striking next to a wall of rain and this communications tower south of Boulder Colorado towards Golden, heading east to Denver. This is a view from central east Boulder County looking to the southwest towards the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Very active weather with a ton of lightning strikes, we were out of the wind and rain north of the storm a great viewing point. Inter-cloud and cloud to cloud lightning thunderstorm with a beautiful sky above a country lake north east of Longmont and Boulder County. Lightning bolts were really striking and hitting the ground in Ft Collins. We are on the south side of this storm. Lightning is a case of an electric arc between one cloud and the earth or another cloud, as are sparks caused by discharges of static electricity. |
