Colorado Rocky Mountain stream with cascading waterfalls coming down from Longs Lake in the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area, Boulder County Colorado. Long exposure with ND filter. Sleeping under the stars in the forest and looking up pine trees to the sky and stars with the Milky Way over head. Boulder County, Colorado, Indian Peaks. A very large panorama view of the Milky Way over the Colorado Rocky Mountains front range, view to the west on the left of the Indian Peaks over Brainard Lake and to the northeast on the right getting some cloud city lights reflection from Boulder Colorado. This is my most favorite place in the world and one of the reasons I love Colorado and Boulder County so much. Sunday the 10th of August was the day of the supermoon. It rose at 7:53 pm to a cloudy horizon so there was not a good rising view from Boulder County, or at least from where I was located in North Boulder County. This is the next morning, Monday 8-11-14 as it sets at 7:17 am behind the Colorado Rocky Mountains Indian Peaks. View looking upward through the pine trees from the middle of National Forest Wilderness to the eye in the sky Milky Way above in the midnight hour. |
